World Enduro Championship 2006
The World Enduro Championship crossed the Atlantic for the first time in 2006, with rounds in the USA and Canada added to those spread across Europe from southern Spain, north to Sweden and Slovakia in the East.

Could the North American riders use their 'homefield advantage' to beat the best from Europe, Australia and New Zealand? The answers are here in this detailed coverage of the 2006 season.

David Knight from the Isle of Man repeated his 2005 victory in the big-bike category while Finland's Samuli Aro and Ivan Cervantes from Spain also held on to the Championships that they won last year in the lightweight and middleweight classes.

They were all KTM-mounted but there was plenty of opposition for the Austrian company from Yamaha, Honda and Husqvarna. It was a great year of international action amidst spectacular back-country scenery and all eight rounds are covered in detail by this two-hour production.

International Six Day Enduro 05
In 2005 the International Six Days Enduro was once again held in Eastern Europe, with the mountains of Slovakia providing a tough and testing challenge for more than 200 riders from over 20 countries around the world.

The ISDE is known as the Olympics of Motorcycling as it pits more than a score of six-rider national teams against one another in the World Trophy competition. This time it was the Italians who topped the results table, breaking the three-year grip that the Finnish team had held on the trophy. Finland had to settle for second, while third was the Swedish team, with Great Britain in fourth.

In the individual competition, Poland's Bartosz Obluski took the Enduro 1 category, while Australian ace, Stefan Merriman, triumphed in the Enduro 2 class. British rider, David Knight from the Isle of Man, dominated the Enduro 3 heavyweight class and emphasised his World Championship quality by also taking the honours as the best individual rider in the whole competition.

This official review tells the full story of the 2005 Six Days with on-board, trackside and behind-the-scenes highlights as well as containing bonus DVD Extra coverage of the previous three years' events.

This is definitely a 'must have' for any fans of off-road motorcycle sport!

Enduro Classics DVD
The International Six Days Enduro is known as the 'Olympics of Motorcycling' such is the enormous amount of effort, stamina and skill required to compete. It is a 1000 mile test of mechanical and human endurance both off-road and on.

Today's bikes are designed and built specifically for Enduro competition. Back in the Fifties, however, things were different. The event was known a s the International Six Days Trial and the bikes were based on standard road models with hardly and modification.

Enduro Classics features gruelling ISDT events with stars of the era competing in Italy, Austria and Wales during 1951, 1952 and 1954. They are linked by present-day reminiscences from gold medal winners of the past such as Jeff Smith and Eddie Dow.

Two more gold medallists include Brian Martin and Norman Vanhouse, who were part of the BSA team who rode from Birmingham to Vienna and back to Oslo - a 4500 mile trip that won them the coveted Maudes trophy for achievements on two wheels. The team also competed in the ISDT en route and none of the riders dropped a single mark! The full flavour of their epic ride is featured here.

These original films, together with the memories of the legendary riders, recapture an era when four-strokes dominated and an ISDT entry was a major adventure. Classic stuff, in more ways than one!
